Procedures of L Visa Application for Other Personal Reasons

A. Eligibility
Foreign Citizens with a need to extend their stay in Beijing for personal reasons not specified in other visa application procedures.

B. Application Documents
1. Passport with Current visa
2. Residence Registration Certificate for Beijing
3. Entry visa/Resident Permit Application Form
4. A recent 2-inch photo with pale blue background
5. Diagnosis by hospitals at the municipal level for patients under medication in Beijing
6. Diagnosis by hospitals at the municipal level of the patient for his accompanying family members
7. Entrance Examination Permit for foreign students applying for admission into Chinese universities
8. Other documents certifying the personal reason for an extension of stay in Beijing for applicants with such needs

C. Term of Validity
A visa with 0/single entry for a maximum duration of 3 months can be granted in such circumstances.

D. Time for Approval
Approval upon submission of requisite documents will take 5 workdays, which does not include Saturday when applications are collected.

因其他私人事务申请L签证须知

一、申请签证的对象：

因其他私人事务需要继续在京停留的外国人。

二、申请签证的材料：

1、有效护照和签证；
2、在京住宿登记证明；
3、填写准确的《外国人签证、居留许可申请表》，贴一张浅蓝色背景近期2寸正面免冠照片；
4、在京看病人员须提交区级以上医院诊断证明；
5、在京看病人员的陪住亲属须提交病人在区级以上医院诊断证明；
6、报考院校准备留学的须提交本年度入学准考证；
7、因其他私人事务需要继续在京停留须提供相关证明。

三、申请签证的时限：

可以申请有效期3个月以内的零次或者一次L签证，最多签发一次。
